The problem was that not enough citizens were attending Bumperton Tech.

There were some academic years that it would drop down to a 3-star (Renowned) reputation and then rise back to 4 stars the next year. A university seems a lot more complex than a concert venue.īumperton Tech, in the city of Bumperton, reached a 4-star (Acclaimed) reputation, but I couldn’t get it to the maximum 5-star (Prestigious) reputation. Or, at least, I haven’t discovered the key. I guess citizens assume a band must be pretty good if the venue is charging so much to see them.) (It seems counter-intuitive that raising ticket prices will increase attendance and popularity. Then the concert venue is just something pretty to look at while it brings money into the city treasury. Then, I can largely ignore the venue while I play my city and wait for the required number of concerts to occur, in order to upgrade to a 2- and 3-star venue. Soon, all performers will achieve a 100% popularity rating, and I’ll have at least one sold-out show. All I have to do is plan out the concert venue with plenty of access to public transit, and then raise ticket prices to the maximum. The “Concerts” DLC for Cities: Skylines is easy, now that I’ve discovered the key. If you wish to visit, you can do so by freeway, train, or intercity bus. The citizens of Pleasant Rivers are generally happy, with only the occasional noise complaints from those who live near the concert venue. The terrain doesn’t have many elevation changes. The city is built on an irregular grid layout, except where geography demands otherwise. Pleasant Rivers has remained mostly within a single game tile, although a second tile was purchased to provide a rail connection to other cities.

Pleasant Rivers has 9 bus routes, a local train line, and a network of bicycle routes. High rise apartments have sprung up near the campus and office zones. Pleasant College is hovering between four and five stars of recognition. Over the years, it has evolved into a more blue collar town, with a Liberal Arts college campus. The city began life as an industrial town with single family homes. (I think the populations in Cities: Skylines are always off, but oh well.) Pleasant Rivers is a medium city of 18,600 citizens.
